Visibility can be limited on Country Highways, and turning into oncoming traffic, even from an established turn lane, presents a significant risk. Be sure to always check lane availability and assess options for evasive maneuvers when you are driving on single-lane highways with limited visibility. Also, turning into oncoming traffic should be saved for dedicated turn lanes, even if it means you have to go a few extra miles out of your way. It’s worth it for the added safety of you and your passengers.
